About the position
We are seeking a talented and experienced Python React Developer with SQL skills to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with the Product, Design and Engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable and maintainable code. This is a pivotal role for the company, where you will integrate AI driven technologies to accelerate development cycles, build prototypes and iterate to finished products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cloud-based platform products using React, Python, and SQL in AWS
  • Architect solutions collaboratively with product teams and engineering colleagues
  • Craft efficient, maintainable, and testable code that meets quality standards
  • Provide constructive feedback through regular code reviews
  • Respond quickly to application issues with timely troubleshooting and updates
  • Embrace Agile methodologies for efficient project delivery
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate development from concept to production

Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer
  • Technical proficiency in React and modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of SQL working with relational databases like PostgreSQL
  • Ability to develop Python backend APIs using RESTful or GraphQL approaches
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to propose multiple solutions with recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams
Nice to have but not required
  • Experience integrating and leveraging AI tools in development workflows
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Our Benefits and Perks:

Salary -The expected salary range for this role is $135,000 - $190,000 CAD depending on experience.
Knotch is a fully remote company. Candidates can work from anywhere in Canada for this position.
